who in the baseball hall of fame could of taken steroids?

Jose Canseco said someone in the hall of fame "used steroids". Who could that be?

Public Comments

  1. We know Galvin used a product containing testosterone. Canseco is likely thinking someone more modern in his allegations, however. And he's probably right.
  2. Ricky Henderson perhaps.Maybe that's why he was able to play for so long.I always wondered about Reggie Jackson. He admitted he took steroids while playing football at Arizona State.Who knows, maybe he didn't stop when he gave up football.
  3. That's easy - Ricky Henderson I love the irony of his recent induction. An A's guy. An egomaniac. A guy with insane durability and insane fast-twitch muscles. Not to mention a guy who looked like a junior weightlifter throughout his career. Roids make you - durable, fast, strong and quicker to recover. The Bay Area with it's muscle scene and large gay/HIV scene became THE epicenter for dealing in Roids and HGH, etc. And before you make an absurd comment about the 'gay/HIV' scene being irrelevant - it's not. HIV+ patients have known for years that being fit is one way to hold-off AIDs symptoms. To this end, guys are often prescribed HGH and then add roids to the mix while hitting the gym. So a PEDs economy and level of sophistication grew up around that area. That's why the As, Giants and Raiders have all had such well-documented problems. Like I said - Ricky Henderson. Though I bet there are a ton more...
  4. Rickey Henderson is a good guess, but you're forgetting an obvious one. Kirby Puckett, although he died, he must have used steroids because of the way he died. He died of heart failure, that's the #1 way that steroids kill you after you take them for a long period of time. Henderson and Puckett probably took steroids for an extended period of time. There is one more person that I think could have used steroids, I doubt it but I think that it's possible because of how long he pitched and how well he pitched. Nolan Ryan. I don't think he took steroids but he could have because he was still pitching when the steroid era started. Good question!
  5. 1 word says it all.....Ricky !
  6. This is easy, its Ricky Henderson Like some of the other guys said, Ricky was playing longer then most other players today could. As much as I don't want to believe its Ricky, it has to be, and if it is, well..... then im not surprised because the A's have had many juicers on there team, ranging from McGuire, Giambi (TWICE!) and Canseco himself, Ricky is different because he reached the HOF which Jose and Mark are still trying to do, but if the world finds out that he was also dirty then Bud Selig has ALOOOOOOOOT of cleaning up to do
  7. A lot of people here say Ricky Henderson but i really doubt it even thou he was teammates with The Original Bash Brothers in the early 90's and i believe someone even mentioned Ripken in another question/post. But someone who is over looked here is another Southern California Star, The Padres Tony Gwynn, he was rather a little guy in the 80's and 90's but towards the end of his career look at how his body seemed to umm Thicken LOL...and look at his career Home Run totals and especially the years 97' 98' and 99'.
  8. Ricky Henderson after all he was team mates with Canseco.
  9. It could really be anyone who played since the mid-80s - and even a few from before. The pattern I see with steroid users is that they stay great well past the age when you expect them to break down. A lot of people are saying Rickey - he's certainly a possibility and his connections to the Oakland A's nexus of PED are well established. However, Rickey broke down at the end of his career. By his later 30s and 40s he was a shadow of his former self and hanging on by going from team to team. One player who stayed strong well past the time you expect him to break down was Nolan Ryan. I know Ryan's legions of supporters will deny this vehemently, but the pattern is there. And yes, everything Jose said has proven to be true, so I'm sure he's telling the truth about this, too.
  10. Don't you think it strange that his accusations run concurrent with Ricky Henderson being elected into the hall. Waiting until the very moment of the induction ceremony. Yes, I'm pretty sure he is pointing the finger at Ricky. Anyone who played for Tony Larussa stands a good chance of testing positive. Larussa is as dirty as the players that played for him. He had and probably still has a nasty habit of turning his back when the drugs appear in the locker room.
