Public Comments

  1. when bud selig steps down the next guy in chatge will probably lift the ban.
  2. Hard to say for sure. With Pete's busy autograph for sale business in Las Vegas, he doesn't get out very often. However, he does set up a table about a block from the Hall of Fame Museum in Cooperstown to sign/sell autographs during Induction Weekends. So, maybe he'll find some free time this weekend to walk down the street to the HOF, pay the admission price and then "be in the baseball hall of fame". And that's less than 10 years or so. So, I'd say the answer is maybe.
  3. NO!!! He not only committed the cardinal sin of betting on baseball games, he bet on games involving the team he was managing, and to compound the 'felony', he used the clubhouse phone to place the bets. And then perjured himself for years, by lying under oath, that he didn't bet. He also agreed to a lifetime ban. Hes a slime ball, and if it were in my power, he wouldn't be allowed to step foot into a professional baseball park. Sarge
  4. Yes, but as a punishment, he'll be enshrined as a Montreal Expo.
  5. You wanna bet?
  6. When you get banned for LIFE you are just that, banned for life, not five years not twenty years but life.
  7. nope he will not
  8. yes definitely
  9. NO WAY!!! I met him at his big pub/restaurant on the east coast of Florida about 11 years ago, where he did his radio broadcasts from. He is an arrogant, foul-mouthed jerk who has no respect for the integrity or history of the game. An impulsive gambler, he has made his bed by his flagrant lies, -lies in the face of contradicting facts. An unrepentant imbecile ( you have to speak to him in person to understand ) who should be banned from the Hall of Fame forever. If they ever let this self described " tough guy " into the Hall of Fame, I will stop being a fan, as it'll just be a gimmick to appease those that think he is really a good guy falsely accused,..bleeding heart liberal types. He is a disgace to the game, nothing less ! Yeah, now ask me how I really feel. LOL
  10. No.
  11. He should be there.
  12. Only if his ban expires in that time. Note that the duration of Rose's ban is "permanent", so it's due to endure a good bit longer than ten years. The Hall is the very least of Rose's concerns anyway.
  13. I hope not but my "gut" tells me that a new commissioner may say OK. After all he did not take steroids, but I still don't like what he did, does not belong in baseball. I would favor him getting in due to his statistics over the Roid users,Bonds,Clemens, A-Rod,etc.
