Why did Major League Baseball disable digital download of baseball game broadcasts?

Last year, Major League baseball had a wonderful feature: For $3.99 each, you could download any baseball game during the regular season (.wmv format), as well as all post-season games and a wide variety of famous games from the past. This year, that feature has disappeared. I wonder why. It is absolutely a no-lose proposition for MLB, because there are bound to be quite a few people like myself who are willing to pay a modest sum for the ability to build a personal library of baseball game broadcasts.
