Do the New York Yankees need a new stadium? Why or why not? ?
In your opinion, do you believe the New York Yankees need a new stadium? Why or why not? =================================================== I personally do not believe the Yankees need a new stadium because the current stadium they played in from 1923-2008 is in good condition and could have still be used for years to come for baseball. I do believe the New York Mets needed a new stadium because Shea Stadium is just not equip to today's modern ballparks.

- Well they can always share with the Mets, right? lol they want to make a new stadium with better top notch technology !
- The Yankees don't NEED a new stadium but very few major league franchises do unless you are Tampa Bay, Minnesota or Los Angeles (Dodgers).
- even though i want to say no, yes. they do. and here's why: MARKET. i know, its about tradition to the fans, but to the big guys in the front office, its about money. My friend knows a guy with season tickets and the price to renew his tickets next year is 800,000 dollars in field box. they're selling tickets to big corporations. Also, they are making more suites and are making the stadium more luxury and fan-friendly. It's all business, not the game of baseball. I hate seeing Yankee Stadium go.
- No they do not! However, I think the stadium could be updated in terms of more modern stuff. I'm a yankee fan, and I love the stadium. I went to a game this past year and it stated the difference in what the new and old stadiums offer. The only one I can remember right now is just the family restrooms. That could have been added on to the old one! It seems the new one is going to be more "fan" friendly. The one old is just fine!
- they dnt need but ive been there many xs n it is kinda gettin old n tartin to fall apart so either they would reedo it or....so yea thats y there makina new stadium
- I would argue that the Stadium is becoming unsafe. Buildings, even historic stadiums, can only last for so long. I don't want the Stadium to go. But on some level, I see why they're doing it (not to mention all the money they will get, which is the baseball execs primary concern).
- No. Yankee Stadium has so much history there, from the legends who played there to all the events that happened there. Doesn't make sense to see Wrigley and Fenway standing and Yankee will no longer be.
- i could go either way
