  1. He's currently in the Seattle Mariners organization: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/5260
  2. Small retired before the 2007 season. He had that magical 2005 season where he went 10-0, but he struggled last season. He would be 36 this season, and I guess he figured his shot at big-league glory had come and gone. He was in the Mariners' organization, but they released him in May.
  3. he is hooked on drugs and lives on the streets in the bronx!! what a waste!!
  4. He signed with the Mariners in January of 2007, was released in May, and then retired.
  5. It was in 2005 that Small joined the Yankees midseason and went 10-0. He had been a minor leaguer most of his career and started that year at age 33, so most considered his run an aberration moreso than a measure of legitimate major league ability. This happens more often than you might think, veteran pitchers will join the team and go on unexpected runs because major league hitters are so unfamiliar with them. Sean Douglass with the Tigers is another guy who comes to mind. He went 4-1 with the Tigers in 2005 with a 3.32 ERA before hitters caught up to him and his numbers fell. In 2006, he injured his hamstring in spring training with the Yankees. When he came back, he went 0-3 with an 8.46 ERA. The Yankees sent him back to AAA Columbus for the rest of the year. At the beginning of 2007, he signed a minor league contract with the Mariners. However, he was released in May. As of May 18th, he has announced his retirement from baseball.
  6. He was hurt, so yankees sent him back down to the minors, its sad, if we had him, we would be rocking
