Why isn't Miguel Cabrera getting any respect when it comes to the Home Run record? Let's break it down: - He is 25 years old - He is about 5 years from his prime - He has 175 home runs - He is ranked 345th all-time - If you do all the math (I did because I'm bored) he is on pace if he plays untill he is 40 (average) to hit aproximetely 668 homeruns which would put him in 3rd! (Not counting the cheater) - Ryan Howard (talked about a lot in terms of record) has only 2 home runs more than Cabrera and is 3 years older. -He has never been seriously injured AND YET HE SEEMS TO NEVER BE TALKED ABOUT WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE RECORD!!! Why??? Credit: http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/HR_career.shtml http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/individual_stats_player.jsp?playerID=408234&statType=1 And a calculator!!

Should Jose Bautista be an MVP? I am a Jays fan and I watch every game... This guy is unbelievable! The best hitter ive ever seen in toronto and he started last september hitting 10 in the month... Here is my argument for Bautista winning MVP. First of all, EVERYONE is saying that hes not on a winning team! WHO CARES? Its not the "Best Player on a contending team" Award ITS THE MVP!! Bautista has brought so much to this team, city and fans. He has a combined 15 homers against the Yankees and Bosox (1 shy of his career high), He has 8 multihomer games and has stole the show in so many games. Without him Id say the Bluejays are where they are last year (about 15 under .500) He is a class act, a leader, and oh yeah he has 52 home runs. The next best in the AL has 37. He leads the AL in walks, he is second in outfield assists (HE IS ONLY A PART TIME OUTFIELDER splits 50/50 3b/of). He leads the league in "No doubt Homers" and he has a .390 OBP to make up for his .267 batting average. He is a sparkplug, a leader and never complained for the 10 years he spent being a bench player. It would be armed robbery if he doesnt win the MVP. On MLB.com some idiot reporter didnt even CONSIDER Bautista in the top 3.. Its INSANE to think that robby cano with 28 homeruns could win MVP over a guy with almost twice the amount of homeruns.. The most memorable game I can remember with him is when he hit number 39 and 40 against the Yankees helping us win 3-2 and producing our only runs.. Thats one example of a big game hes had that won it for us single handedly.. Another is when were down 8-1 and he hits two straight 3 run homers and helps us tie it at 8. He adds that little extra spark, clutch hitting and LEADERSHIP which I dont see with the frontrunners.. I think the Jays would be most effected WITHOUT Bautista as the other 3 teams would be with their stars
Why are the Steelers the best team in NFL history? Please list who you feel is the best team in football history. I am basically directing this to most Steeler fans because they without question feel their team is the best in history, but why? Because they have *six* championships? Is that it? Im curious to hear the argument. Im sure Ill be told to quit crying an let it go, thats the classic response, but seriously, list why you think they are the best if you think so. I will list my argument as to why they are not. They have been in the league 27 more years then the Cowboys. TWENTY SEVEN MORE years and have won 97 more games then them. I repeat 97 more games in 27 years. Thats kinda like saying the Yankees have more championships then the Marlins do so the Yankees are better isnt it? I would HONESTLY say if I thought they (the Steelers)were the best ever but I dont. I HATE the Yankees beyond belief but they are easily the best franchise in MLB history. They are barely a 500 football team since they started playing. They started the same year as the Eagles did an have won about 32 more games then the Eagles, thats it. Also, Steelers fan, because Pittsburgh has one more championship (highly debateable championships at that) why does that make them the clear cut best of all time? People act like its a blow out an they are ahead by 45 titles. The link you ask, here you go http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/ also The Steelers Do Not Have: 20 Consecutive Winning Seasons. The NFL All Time Leading Rusher. *Most appearances in a Super Bowl (8) *Most wins on Monday night Football (41) *Most appearances in the NFC Championship game (14) *The Cowboys' streak of 160 sold-out regular and post-season games included 79 straight sellouts at their home, Texas Stadium, and 81 straight sell-outs on the road. *Cowboys are the most valuable football franchise in the world, with an estimated value of $1.612 billion. *They are also one of the wealthiest teams in the NFL, generating almost $250 million in annual revenue. *Most consecutive winning seasons (20, from 1966 to 1985) *Most seasons with at least 10 wins (24) *The team has earned the most postseason appearances (28, which includes another league record of 55 postseason games, winning 32 of them) *The Cowboys became the first team in NFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in just 4 years. (Also the only other team to do that is the Pats) Dallas best vs Steelers best Passing Leader (all-time): Troy Aikman - 32,942 yards Rushing Leader (all-time): Emmitt Smith - 17,162 yards Receiving Leader (all-time): Michael Irvin - 11,904 yards Winningest Coach (all-time): Tom Landry - 250 wins Passing Leader (all-time): Terry Bradshaw - 27,989 yards Rushing Leader (all-time): Franco Harris - 11,950 yards Receiving Leader (all-time): Hines Ward - 9,780 yards Winningest Coach (all-time): Chuck Noll - 193 wins The Steelers got 6 championships in 76 years. Dallas has won it 5 times 49. I'm not great at math but by my account, we have 27 years to catch up. They still trail us 32-31 in playoff wins despite nearly a 3 decade head start and our more than dozen year drought in the postseason. Since everyone loves to bring up "well since 1970". Here are the statistics. Again, its a matter of a few games. This makes them the run away favorite? Go back to before 1970, look at their record and click the link above. Best team of all time? HIGHLY debateable. since 1970, Pittsburgh has won 363 times since 1970, Dallas has won 358 times Ok, so if Dallas or the Niners win a championship next year, then its a tie for the best team in history ha? Thats ridiculous in my opinion. Say the AZ Cardinals would win the next 6 Super Bowls in a row. Would they be the best team in NFL history then? Come on, look at the facts. Pittsburgh is BARELY a 500 football team! Ok, so if Dallas or the Niners win a championship next year, then its a tie for the best team in history ha? Thats ridiculous in my opinion. Say the AZ Cardinals would win the next 6 Super Bowls in a row. Would they be the best team in NFL history then? Come on, look at the facts. Pittsburgh is BARELY a 500 football team! Dallas also has more playoff wins then Pittsburgh despite the lack of a win in the last 13 years. I know how people love to bring that up. Dallas has 32 playoff wins, Pittsburgh has 31
