What is the best pizza joint in downtown Chicago? I recently moved to the area and so far I have not been impressed. The only really good pizza I've had is Home Run Inn. Unos, Lou Malnati's and Aurelio's were horrible. Giordano's is alright. Are there any good mom and pop joints? Or is Chicago Pizza just hype? I generally prefer deep dish. Giordanos is actually pretty good. It is just that, so far, I have had far better Chicago style pizza outside of Chicago.

A bigger sin in Chicago? Ketchup on hotdogs or Pizza Hut? I take my Chicago traditions very seriously. For example, it’s a SIN to put ketchup on a true Chicago hotdog, you just don’t do it. So when I’m at work, this guy from north/west Indiana always orders his hotdogs with ketchup and I refuse to order it that way for him. I’ll grab him some ketchup packets, but there’s no way I’m going to ask somebody to put it on a hotdog. I even got the rest of my coworkers in on it, and I feel completely justified. Yet at the same time I live in the pizza capitol of the world and I love to order Pizza Hut. I live on the south side, right in the middle of the original Home Run Inn, the original Connie’s, Falco’s, Villa Rosa’s, Giordano’s, and about a hundred little mom & pop pizza places…but man, there’s something about ordering a Pizza Hut pizza (w/bread sticks) online and not having to talk to a human being at all. I mean, you get the total online and when the delivery guy comes you just hand him the money and shut the door. I love it. No you can NOT be from Chicago and be both a Cubs & Sox fan. It would be like being a Catholic/Atheist. Putting ketchup on a Chicago dog is like going out the most expensive steakhouse in the city, ordering a $60 steak, and then dumping ketchup on it.

Calling all people in Chicago, what do you think of the new Harry Caray's in Wrigleyville? I have seen metromix's reviewers' reviews of Harry Caray's Tavern that is now next to Wrigley Field, and I haven't been there, and I would say that the reviews are just about mixed. I am very confused someone anyone please please help? Ok I am very confused someone anyone please please help. so there is this boy who I have been talking to for about 2 weeks on line and on the phone. He goes to my school and is a year younger than me. Anyway we started talking online I sent him a comment and them he sent me a message back and we started talking and flirting so I gave him my number( no he didn’t ask for it) and that same night he texted me saying hi, we texted back and forth fir a few days talking like friends with a little flirting. We I invited him to my birthday party which he didn’t attend his excuse was that he said that he thought I said it was a party for my little brother( I don’t have any brothers) we anyway my friends and I went to home run inn the other day and I invited him and he came and we talked and he acted as if he liked me and he told all of his friends about me to and he let me meet one of them. But the problem is he never calls or texts me I have to make the first move on the phone and in person he just smiles hard and keeps walking. All of my friends think we are a perfect match and he told his best friend that he talks to me but really I’m not sure if he likes me in a girlfriend kind of way? this is all i have, what do you think? and i need a title? I woke up in a dark ally. I was cold and wet and my head hurt. I couldn’t remember anything, not my name, what I was just doing, who I was, what I did, or why my head hurt. All I knew at the moment was that I was starving. Then I smelled something, it smelled warm and delicious. I looked to see where the smell had been coming from; I saw a little pizza shop across the street. I got up brushed myself off, ran my fingers through my hair, and walked over to it. Ok, mental note to self, I know what pizza is. I stopped at the door. Oh crap, pizza cost money. I reached in my pocket, hoping that if I had any luck what so ever, I would have a ten in my pocket. I pulled my hand out to find more than just a ten, it was a whole wallet. I opened it up to find lots of 100 dolor bills, man I must be rich, I also found a drivers license. It said my name is Daniela and my picture was beautiful. I went into the pizza place, bought a slice of cheese pizza, and walked out. The whole time I was eating the pizza I was thinking about how I got the money. Maybe I inherited it, or maybe I stole it. Was I a thief? Maybe I should turn myself in. no that can’t be it, I’m not the type of person to steel, or am I? Maybe I own a big business. What if I’m a hooker! I am pretty enough for it, oh- My thought was cut short when a guy built like a house slammed his hand down on my table. “I’ve been looking for u.” he said in a quiet but deep voice. The man was short, but very muscular. He was also baled and had dark brown eyes that look like they were glaring into my soul. “You must have the wrong girl.” I said in a cracked voice. This man scared me and my instincts told me I should run. But I had to think up a plan first. “No I got the right girl. I have been sent… by your father…to take you home. So just hop in my van and I will take you to him.” I don’t know how but I had this strong feeling, more like an alarm going off in my head, that he had been sent to get me, but not to bring me to my father. I had to think up a plan to get him distracted while I ran. But I had to think this through; he looked like he was fast and strong and could catch me easily. I on the other hand didn’t look much like a runner, but I still had to try right? “Uh…my father is dead…” I said in a hopefully convincing voice. As he was sitting there looking at me like I had four sets of eyes, I ran as fast as I could. I was surprisingly fast. I didn’t know where I was going to run to. He was kind of close on my tale. Maybe I should go to a police station, they would help right? No I couldn’t do that. What if I did steal that money and he was a cop sent to take me to prison. I’m just going to keep running till I find some place to hide. Suddenly some guy jumped in front of me. It seemed as though he had jumped off a roof, but thats impossible. “RUN!” He didn’t have to tell me twice, I ran away and heard him call over his shoulder ‘I’ll hold them off’. I had gotten really far away when I stopped. I was so out of breath I was panting like a dog. My throat hurt and so did my feet; I need to find a place to rest after all this madness. I walked a few blocks and found an Inn, it looked nice and quiet. I walked in, it smelled like herbs and spices. I walked up to the desk to find a small old woman writing something down on a piece of paper. “Can I help you dear?” she said in a voice like silk. “Um… how much is a room?” “Mother of god!” she said in a shocked tone when she finally looked up at me, “what happened to you? You look like you have been beat up with a bat.” I hadn’t looked at myself in a mirror yet, but if what she was saying was true, then it would explain why I have been getting funny looks all day. “Oh…um-” “you go upstairs right now to room 1 and wash up. I’ll bring you some cloths and a nice hot meal.” “Um… ok. How much do I owe you.” “We will deal with that later.” “Ok” I said as she pushed me gently up the stairs. When I got in the bathroom I could see why she was so shocked. My face was covered in dirt and dried blood, my hair was a rats nest of hair and blood, and I had scrapes up my arms. When I took my shirt off I could see that wasn’t all. I had bruises from what looked like small golf balls on my shoulders, my chest had a claw mark across it, and my back was a mess of scrapes and bruises. When I took a shower and scrubbed my head I could feel cuts and bumps. When I was done I p blow dried my hair, brushed it, and whipped the steam off the mirror. The reflection looking back at me was beautiful. I have dark brown hair that cascades down to the small of my back, my eyes are dark green, and my face is flawless.
