Everytime I login to my yahoo account I am prompted to add the New York Yankees schedule. Very annoying!? Why is this? It prompts me everytime to add this stupid schedule. I say no and it is there the next time and the next and the next. How do I stop the madness!
At what site can I retrieve the 2007 home schedule for the new york yankees? I accesed the home page for the yankees, but only info was the 2007 spring training schedule. I accesed it yesterday but was unable to print out the schedule. the schedule was released 14 nov. Also would prefer the home schedule fot the New York Mets.

What do SC, PP, and OT stand for in the 2007 New York Yankees Printable Schedule from MLB.COM? I dl'd the schedule from: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/schedule/printable.jsp which does not come with a legend for all the codes used. Some were obvious, like Y for YES, E for ESPN, F for Fox, and M for My9, but can't figure out SC, PP, and OT. Just curious.
New York Yankees T.V. Schedule? Can someone tell me the on air in Des Moines IA schedule for the Yankees or atleast tell me where to get one
Anyone know yet if New York Yankees picked ALDS A or B post season 2009 schedule? This is all i found....I need to know for ticket date purchasing reason. The A.L. Club with the best record will make its selection no later than one hour following the completion of any game that finalizes which club will have the best record in the Championship Season or finalizes the matchups in the Division Series, whichever is later.
[Poll] My university is offering classes on the New York Yankees. What are your thoughts on this? So I'm going to be a freshman at UC Davis, which is near San Francisco. I was looking through my schedule when I saw a class that look very odd. Seminar: The dynasty of the New York Yankees I signed up for that class even though I HATE the New York Yankees. Besides, I rather be studying the Yankees than Biology or Chemistry. What would you have done in that situation? Go Giants! :P its 2 units
How can I schedule a trip to New York? I want to see the Yankees play in New York but I dont want to spend over 800 dollars. Can someone give me a good travel plan including: Tickets Hotel Food Spending Money and excluding the plane tickets.
is there a new york yankees widget for yahoo widgets? i want it to show the scorebox and upcoming games (like a schedule) or any type of widget of the yankees would be nice thnks
Where to find NY Yankees Pocket schedules? What public places (stores, restaurants, etc.) can I find New York Yankees Pocket Schedules? Please answer with a public food chain, such as subway, where I found them last year, but they did not seem to have them this year. Also,I have seen many public places such as mcdonalds that have NY Mets pocket schedules but not Yankees?
Mets and Yankees fans: Are you looking forward to June 12th-14th and June 26-28th? ? This question is for the fans of the Mets and the Yankees, in case anybody is wondering, what so imporant about thesee dates well I will tell you. June 12th, the Mets are schdeuled to play thier first game at the New Yankee Stadium, and on June 26th, the New York Yankees are scheduled to play thier first game at Citi Field. So now for Mets and Yankees fans, are you looking foward to these games, when they play each other for the first time in thier new stadiums?
As of September 12, 2006, What Do the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, and Oakland A's Have... in common? Hint: The answer is not "All those teams have 80+ wins," because this list excludes the Minnesota Twins, who have 84 wins, and the Chicago White Sox, who have 83, but it does include the Oakland A's, who have 82 wins. Here's the MLB Standings Index for you to study: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/standings/index.jsp The number of teams included in this list may increase in about a week, but not within the next two or three days. (I checked the "potential" teams' schedules already.) Teams already on the list will not be excluded from the list later. Have fun! =D Nope. It's not as easy as "leading their divisions," either. Remember, teams on this list now cannot be excluded from the list later. If the answer were, "Teams who are leading their division," once any team loses the division lead, they would not be on the list anymore. So the answer has to be something else. Here's another one: What do all these teams have in common, as of September 12, 2006? (The list may possibly have another team or teams added within the next day or two; and again, once a team is on this list, they cannot be excluded.) New York Mets Oakland A's Boston Red Sox San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers Detroit Tigers New York Yankees Chicago White Sox Pittsburgh Pirates Arizona Diamondbacks Houston Astros Washington Nationals Los Angeles Angels St. Louis Cardinals You may again refer to the MLB Standings Index above. You may have to hit the "Customize this page" button to get the necessary stats. Rico Suave and Johnnylakis, The answer cannot be "All these teams are inferior to the New York Yankees" because the list includes the Yankees. And by that same token, the answer cannot be "The New York Mets will leave the rest of the teams on your list in the dust" because the question is what these teams have in *common*. One team leaving the others in the dust is not a question of having something in common with the other teams. Use yer noggins, people!!! And to the hater, AC Milan, who said "f" baseball: If you have nothing intelligent to say, don't answer the question; you're not going to get Best Answer anyway. And if I understand your run-on sentence correctly, you said, "..its (sic) football season english futbal (sic) stared (sic)"--what's "English football stared"? At what is English football staring? Here's your corrected sentence in normal English (corrections in brackets): [Forget] baseball[;] it[']s football season [now]. [E]nglish [football] [has already] star[t]ed.
New York City is Changing? I can easily see that New York City is slowly becoming a city meant only for the rich. Low-income housing is on the decline, more CO-OPS and fancy high rise buildings are being constructed in areas like Coney Island, Far Rockaway, East New York, etc. I think it's a great idea to clean up NYC but I often think about the poor in the city. Where will the poor be moved to? No one seeks to be poor. Life sometimes leads the best of us to poverty situations. However, we [humans] have given such a high value to the rich and well-off and not enough attention to humanity as a whole. If you take a walk through the cemetery, you will notice that there are graves for people from all walks of life. We are all important. Anyway, what is your view of the rapid changes taking place in the city of New York? How will the new Yankee and Mets stadiums scheduled to be opened in 2009 affect rent in their respected vicinities?
In HTML tables, how do you keep your columns a fixed width when you have text that is wider than the column? I want the text to just stay in the column and go down to the next line if it is wider than the column. I'd like to do this without have to use <p> tags and am avoiding divs for now. I have provided an example of code below for my question. I have the columns set at 25% each, but text wider than the column spills into the next column, despite having set the fixed widths. <body> <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width=100%" align="left" valign="top" class="left">> <caption>New York Yankees 2009 Schedule Snippet</caption> <colgroup> <col id="date" /> <col id="time" /> <col id="opponent" /> <col id="home_away" /> </colgroup> <thead> <tr> <th>Date</th> <th>Time</th> <th>Opponent</th> <th>Home/Away</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>April 20xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</td> <td>7:05PMxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</td> <td>OAKxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</td> <td>Homexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</td> </tr> <tr> <td>April 21xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</td> <td>7:05PM</td> <td>OAK</td> <td>Home</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </body> </html> *My CSS is: table { table-layout:fixed;} col#date { width:25%;} col#time { width:25%;} col#opponent { width:25%;} col#home_away { width:25%;}
Giuliani Spent Twice As Much Time At Yankees Games Than Ground Zero In '01? Salon | August 20, 2007 Alex Koppelman On Friday, a New York Times story examined Rudy Giuliani's schedule in the months after 9/11 to verify his controversial claim that, like rescue workers, he'd spent long hours at ground zero, and so was "in that sense ... one of them." In fact, the Times found, he only spent 29 hours at the terror site between Sept. 17 and Dec. 16. What was he doing instead? Giuliani's beloved New York Yankees made it to the World Series in 2001. We decided to compare the time he spent on baseball to the time he spent at the ruins of the World Trade Center. The results were, considering the mayor's long-standing devotion to the Bronx Bombers, unsurprising. By our count, Giuliani spent about 58 hours at Yankees games: More: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2007/08/18/rudy_yankees/index_np.html?source=whitelist ...........but Rudy claimed he spent just as much time as the rescuers at ground zero. What do you think about this? He lied civil_av8r....LIED!!!

Can anyone tell me when the 2008 Yankee's schedule will be released and tickets will be available to purchase? My fiancé's dream has always been to take his father to Yankee Stadium. I know that next year is going to be the last season for the old stadium and his father's health is fading very quickly. I would like to give them both a trip to New York to include attending a Yankee's game early next season for Christmas. When does the season usually start? Do you know when they will start selling tickets for the 2008 season?
When will Derek Jeter get his 3,000th hit (specifically) +BQ? Here's what I want: What date? Against what team? Against what pitcher? What inning? What kind of hit (1B, 2B, 3B, HR)? What will the count be? How many men will be on base? How many outs? How many runs will the hit drive in? What will the score be when he steps up to the plate? Will the Yankees win that day? Will he score as a result of the hit? What number plate appearance of the game will that be for him? BQ: How many career hits will he end his career with? I just thought that I'd change things up a little. You see a million questions a day about what game he will get the hit, so I thought that I'd make it interesting. Here is the Yankee's schedule so you could correspond dates, teams, pitchers, etc: http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/nyy/new-york-yankees
Marlins fans: What do you think about your teams' interleague schedule? Excluding the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays games, what do you Marlins fans think about the interleague schedule for 2009? June 12-14th, the Florida Marlins will travel to Canada to play the Toronto Blue Jays, and then the 16-18th, they go Boston, to play the Boston Red Sox, and June 19-21st, they will be at home to play the New York Yankees, and then the 23-25th, they will play the Batlimore Orioles. Then the other 2 interleague series, like what they do with the Chicago and New York National and American League teams, they have them playing against each other, and since they do that every year, I excluded these 2 series.
New York City - Yankee Stadium - Statue of Liberty - Times Square Travel Questions? Mom & Dad and 9 and 11 year old traveling to NYC to see Yankee stadium before it comes down. * Will be traveling via air from the Midwest * The most important thing is seeing the Yankee game and monument park. We can always come back to NY at a later time for the other things. What airport do we fly into? Where do we want to stay? Money is not growing on trees...so we dont have to have a 5 star hotel...we dont care about a transit in if it saves us $$$$. What part of NY do we want to stay in? Basically we are lost and need someone to direct us to get this thing set up and scheduled ........ Thanks
Im going to New York on April 4 and I want to go to a baseball game, why is it that both teams have no tickets? http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=nyy&m=4&y=2009 April 4 against Cubs http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=nym&m=4&y=2009 April 4 against Red Sox

What are some FREE, but famous/fun places to visit in New York (CITY?) [: URGENT! <3? So, I'm going to New York & staying there for about 6 days. I already got most of my trip planned out but if possible, could you suggest the most famous/fun, free attractions [I have a 19 year old son, 15 year old daughter, 13 year old girl & guy twins, 9&7 year old daughters & a 6 year old son] so I could maybe edit my schedule. On Wednesday, I'm going to the Bronx Zoo & I want to go somewhere else as well. Could you tell me of another place in Bronx that is free. The day I am going, there is also a Yankees game. The tickets are okay-priced but on the internet, they're adding like $40 extra dollars. Could you also let me know if I could get tickets from the stadium for about $5-6? [: Thanks <3 And could you let me know if there are any special things going on around this time? (August 1st~August 6th) Like maybe free concerts or some sort of family activities. Thanks :] Just please answer & I will award BEST ANSWER!
The Poor Are Being Pushed Out? I can easily see that New York City is slowly becoming a city meant only for the rich. Low-income housing is on the decline, more CO-OPS and fancy high rise buildings are being constructed in areas like Coney Island, Far Rockaway, East New York, etc. I think it's a great idea to clean up NYC but I often think about the poor in the city. What's your opinion of the 10 teams still relevant this season? Tampa Bay Rays: One of the two best teams with New York. Better pitching. They will win the division with the easier schedule remaining, but will fall to the Yankees in 6 or 7. New York Yankees: One of the two best teams with Tampa Bay. Better hitting. CC Sabathia's superhuman abilities to carry a team will overcome their poor pitching as a whole. They will win the World Series. Minnesota Twins: A nice team, capable of taking an AL East team to 5 games in the ALDS, just don't have enough though. 3rd best team in the AL, 4th best team in baseball. Texas Rangers: Biggest frauds in the AL Playoffs. Might manage a win a game in the playoffs, but it's looking like they're headed for Tropicana Field in the ALDS, where they'll get dominated. Philadelphia Phillies: Best team in the NL, will lose to New York in the World Series. Atlanta Braves: Won't win their division but will probably win the wildcard. If they are fortunate enough to get Cincinnati in the NLDS, they will win a playoff series, but they have no chance against the Phillies or an NL West team. Cincinnati Reds: Frauds. Complete joke. San Diego Padres: Frauds. San Francisco Giants: Nice team, 2nd tier level NL team. Have a good chance to win their division, but can't beat the Phillies. Colorado Rockies: I'd like to see them win the division, but I don't think they have it in them...again. I'll take whatever the Rangers give us in the postseason. I've decided that the thrill of them winning a division for the first time in a decade will be enough excitement for me to make me happy.
Will Re-alignment Answer Baseball's Long Season? Re-alignment has been discussed for quite some time now as recently, the talk has shifted to the length of the season being too long as well as when to play the World Baseball Classic (WBC). Below, is my take on answering all facets of these questions as what is your opinion on what I have proposed? Proposed league re-alignment: North Boston Red Sox New York Mets New York Yankees Philadelphia Phillies Toronto Blue Jays South Atlanta Braves Baltimore Orioles Florida Marlins Tampa Bay Rays Washington Nationals Central Cincinnati Reds Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Pittsburgh Pirates Milwaukee Brewers Midwest Chicago Cubs Chicago White Sox Kansas City Royals Minnesota Twins St Louis Cardinals Mountain Arizona Diamondbacks Colorado Rockies Houston Astros Seattle Mariners Texas Rangers West Los Angeles Angels Los Angeles Dodgers Oakland Athletics San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants Benefits: 1. League history would remain with a "American League" and a "National League." 2. Natural local rivalries remain allowing teams to be able to play against each other. 3. Option I reconfigures current season from 162 to 165 Home/Away (H/A) games as: a. Divisional Play ~ Sixty (60) games of the schedule: 1. consists of two (H/A) series with an yearly alternating (H/A) series. b. Conference Play ~ Sixty (60) games of the schedule: 1. consists of one (H/A) series with remaining two divisions in your league. c. League Play ~ Forty Five (45) games of the schedule: 1. consists of one alternating yearly (H/A) series with teams in other league. 4. Option II reconfigures current season from 162 to 153 Home/Away (H/A) games as: : a. Divisional Play ~ Forty Eight (48) games of the schedule: 1. consists of two (H/A) series with teams in the same division. b. Conference Play ~ Sixty (60) games of the schedule: 1. consists of one (H/A) series with remaining two divisions in your league. c. League Play ~ Forty Five (45) games of the schedule: 1. consists of one alternating yearly (H/A) series with teams in other league. 5. Balanced team schedule over unbalanced present day inter league play schedule. 6. Since Spring Training is in the warm weather states of Arizona and Florida, then ... a. Catchers and Pitchers report the beginning of February instead of mid February and b. start playing the exhibition schedule from mid February until mid March 7. Start the season mid March instead of the present system of the beginning of April. 8. Change present Divisional Series form a best of five series to a best of seven series. 9. The World Baseball Classic (WBC) can be scheduled after World Series ends. 10. League expansion would be made easier through re-alignment. This type of schedule is all ready in place for both Hockey and Basketball as it keeps inter league play intact.. You are giving each team, the opportunity to play against opposing talent on every team at least once during the season while keeping local rivalries open as well. You also give your fan base a chance to see opposing players they presently may not see for many years. Some may argue that you have extended the season but one can counter that the season has been pulled back half a month thus pulling back the start of the post season. In this scenario, revenue to the teams would not be a question as none of this would have to be altered. What teams in the sport need to do to try to combat the escalating costs of salary is not to make any players salary public knowledge. One could argue that knowing what another player at the same position signed for would help their client get top dollar as the flip side to this argument is that the private sector of business does not tolerate salaries being known. It is a known fact that players need to survive in supporting themselves and their families but this should be done though their experience and experience, much like it is done in the private sector over what another player is making.
4th of July fireworks in New York? I'm seeing a game at Yankee Stadium which was originally scheduled to be a night game, but has recently been changed to a 1:05pm game, so I need to change our fireworks plans. We'll probably get out of the stadium around 4:30/5ish. Does anyone know anywhere we can get to thats not very expensive (there's 4 of us) and fairly easy to get to from the stadium? We don't know anyone who lives in the area and our hotel is right near the stadium. Thanks!!
Think the again-below-.500 Yankees still have a chance? Through today's (Sunday's) games, we find the AL East standings: 1. Boston 48-26 (.649) 3. New York 26-27 (.493) The Yankees are 11 back, but let's play with the rest of the schedule. If Boston maintains that .649 for its last 88 games, they'll go 57-31 (.648) for a final record of 105-57. Yow. To match that, the Yankees would have to play 69-20 (they have 89 games left) for a .775 winning percentage. Gotta say that that is not going to happen. If Boston stumbles to a .500 record the rest of the way (44-44) and winds up 92-70 (.568), the Yankees would need to play 56-33, a .629 pace, to tie on the last day. Possible but extremely difficult. It's not over until the magic number reaches zero, but it ain't lookin' too good in da Bronx, izzit? Tick-tock, tick-tock,... Believe me, folks, I remember 1978 all too well. Yes, the lead was 14 games at one point; yes, that evaporated; yes, I know Bucky Dent's middle name. Just showin' the math to it. The Yankees are NOT going to play 69-20, so if they want to catch Boston, they'll need help. It's possible, sure, and worse has happened to better teams before (1951 Dodgers, anyone?). Oh dear, thanks, my typo, the Yankees are 36-37 (still .493 though). All the math is right, I just missed the "3" key twice.
MLB Baseball Realignment? I know the idea of a balanced schedule and realignment have been discussed for years. Here is my idea/proposal: American League East Tampa Bay Devil Rays New York Yankees Philadelphia Phillies Boston Red Sox Baltimore Orioles American League Central Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Kansas City Royals Minnesota Twins Deroit Tigers American League West Los Angeles Angels Oakland Athletics Texas Rangers Seattle Mariners Arizona Diamondbacks National League East Florida Marlins New York Mets Pittsburgh Pirates Atlanta Braves Washington Nationals National League Central Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds St. Louis Cardinals Milwaukee Brewers Toronto Blue Jays National League West Los Angeles Dodgers San Francisco Giants Houston Astros San Diego Padres Colorado Rockies I know it's not perfect, and a few teams I did have difficulty. 15 teams in each league is doable. Just have a few interleague series play each day/week. I understand Philadelphia has always been a NL team since their beginning. I took that into consideration when thinking it up, but ultimately put them in the AL. While always having a few interleague series played each week is not likely, just like having 15 teams in each league is not likely, it is very doable to do, though, and can be done. It would only make things fair by having 5 teams in each division (as opposed to a 6-team NL Central and a 4-team AL West, that just does not cut it). I think it would make the game more interesting, too. Not that it isn't interesting now, but it would make it even more so.
Opinion on Twins/Tigers race for Al Central title? With tonight's Twins win and Tigers loss, the Twins are now only 1 game out of a sharing of the lead in the Al Central. Q1) Who do you predict to win? Q2) Possibility the Tigers can beat the New York Yankees? (Percentage) Q3) Possibility the Twins can beat the New York Yankees? (Percentage) Q4) Are you more of a Tigers or Twins fan? BQ) Rookie of the year goes to? _________________________________________________ Minnesota Twins remaining schedule; Sat; Kansas City Royals Sun; Kansas City Royals Detroit Tigers remaining schedule; Sat; Chicago White Sox Sun; Chicago White Sox

Thoughts on the 2010 Cleveland Indians? Soon the Cleveland Indians will probably be the fourth team in baseball to be officially taken out of 2010 playoff contention (their "elimination number" is 11). They currently have the worst record in the American League Central with 53-77 (.408). The Cleveland Indians are historically a decent team. Since starting in 1901, the franchise has a winning record with 8,675 wins and 8,351 losses. The Indians have made it to the playoffs 10 times, won the AL pennant 5 times, and won the World Series twice (they beat the Brooklyn Robins in 1920 and the Boston Braves in 1948). Recently, the Indians even played in the 2007 ALCS, where they were defeated by the Boston Red Sox in Game 7 at Fenway Park. Let's look at the facts about this season: First game of season: Beaten by the White Sox in Chicago 0-6 (April 5) First home game of season: Beaten by the Texas Rangers 2-4 (April 12) Worst Loss of Season: Beaten by the Oakland Athletics 0-11 (April 25) Best Victory of Season: Defeated the Boston Red Sox 11-0 (June 9) Longest losing streak of season: Lost 7 consecutive inter-league games to the Pirates, Phillies and Reds (June 19-26). TRADES: -Indians traded 1B Russell Branyan (.234) to the Seattle Mariners for minor leaguers Ezequiel Carrera and Juan Diaz -Indians traded IF Jhonny Peralta (.262) to the Detroit Tigers for minor league pitcher Giovanni Soto -Indians traded OF Austin Kearns (.258) to the New York Yankees for minor league pitcher Zach McAllister -Indians traded SP Jake Westbrook (4.33 ERA) to the Cardinals for minor league pitcher Corey Kluber from the Padres -Indians traded RP Kerry Wood (3.70 ERA) to the New York Yankees for cash or a player to be named later So far the Indians have lost 9 of their 15 games against the Detroit Tigers The Indians have lost 6 of their 11 games against the Kansas City Royals The Indians have lost 7 of their 12 games against the Minnesota Twins The Indians have won 8 of their 12 games against the Chicago White Sox Best Indians batting average: RF Shin-Soo Choo (.292 average) Most Indians home runs: RF Shin-Soo Choo (15 home runs) Most Indians RBI: RF Shin-Soo Choo (63 RBI) Most Indians wins: SP Fausto Carmona (11 wins, 13 losses) Best Indians ERA: SP Fausto Carmona (4.19 ERA) Most Indians saves: RP Chris Perez (16 saves) Cleveland Indians team batting average = .247 Cleveland Indians team ERA: 4.50 Cleveland Indians team fielding percentage = .981 What are your thoughts on the Cleveland Indians? What do you have to say about the trades, about the season, the players, the management, next year, etc? http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CLE/ http://mlb.mlb.com/schedule/sortable.jsp?c_id=cle http://espn.go.com/mlb/statistics
Thoughts on the 2010 Boston Red Sox? This week the Boston Red Sox became the 21st team in baseball to be officially taken out of 2010 playoff contention. Boston is the last team in the American League and the second-to-last team in MLB to be eliminated before the playoffs. The Red Sox currently have a winning record of 87-72 (.547). The Red Sox are historically a good team. Since starting in 1901, the franchise has a winning record of 8,817 wins and 8,231 losses. How dumb is MLB for scheduling warm weather team to travel north during the first week of April? Every year MLB Scheduler Katy Feeney says she will schedule cold-weather teams to head south or to domes for games for the first week in April but she never remembers to do so. Should Bud Selig fire Katy Feeney or is he just as dumb as his MLB Scheduler? Yankees (north) hosted Tampa (dome) in New York and it snowed during Friday night's game. White Sox (cold) hosted Twins (dome) during first week. Game cancelled because of cold weather! Indians (cold) completely wiped out by snow involving games with Seattle and Los Angeles (!) most stupid of all. Angels (warm) hosted Rangers (warm) in first series of season when Texas could have hosted a cold weather team. Detroit (cold) hosted Toronto (dome) during first series of season and it was freeeeezing. Arizona (warm) did not host a series during the first week. Washington (cold) hosted Florida (warm) for first series of the season and then they hosted Arizona!! You get the points. Stupid stupid MLB.

Thoughts on the 2010 Baltimore Orioles? Thoughts on the 2010 Baltimore Orioles? Within a couple days, the Baltimore Orioles will be the first team in baseball to be officially taken out of 2010 playoff contention (their "elimination number" is 3). They currently have the 2nd worst record in baseball (ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates) and the worst record in the American League with 45-82 (.354). It seems as though they could lose over 100 games for the season. Let's not forget that the Baltimore Orioles are historically a great team. The franchise has been in the playoffs 11 times (once as the St. Louis Browns). They have won 7 American League pennants (once as the St. Louis Browns). how can I find out if the NY Yankees will be rained out? it's raining in New York at 3 PM and the game is scheduled for 7. The forecast is for continued rain (80% through 10 PM)
What do you think of Major Traffic Tie Up for Wresltemania XXVIII and Monday Night Raw? This is not what I want to hear, since I plan on going to both Wrestlemania XXVIII and Monday Night Raw the next night. WrestleMania 28 will not be the only major event in Miami on April 1, 2012. The Florida Marlins baseball team will also be opening their brand-new stadium against the New York Yankees on the same day. The exhibition baseball game is scheduled for a 1:10 p.m. start time on Sunday afternoon at the new Miami Ballpark, which is about 20 minutes away from where WrestleMania will be held at Sun Life Stadium later that evening. For people attending WrestleMania, it could cause traffic headaches depending on when the baseball game ends. There could also be traffic headaches the following night when Raw will be at Miami's American Airlines Arena against a second exhibition game between the Marlins and Yankees. Another issue in-play, according to the Miami Herald, is whether construction will be completed on the Marlins's new ballpark in-time for the Apr. 1 and 2 exhibition games. Sun Life Stadium is the current home of the Marlins (and NFL's Dolphins), but WWE has a contract with the stadium for April 1. The Marlins cannot move their exhibition game to Sun Life and bump WrestleMania. The Herald also reports WrestleMania is expected to sell out with approximately 75,000-80,000 people at Sun Life Stadium, depending on the configuration of the stadium.
NYC Changes?
Anyone going to the last games at Yankee and Shea? The 2008 schedule is still being drafted and not yet released, so this information could (but likely will not) change, but this little bit was disclosed today -- the last regular season games at Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium. "Yankee Stadium is set to host its final regular-season game on Sept. 21, 2008, with New York playing Baltimore. Shea Stadium will hold its regular-season wrapup a week later, on Sept. 28 against Florida." Those are both Sundays. Make plans now! If both Noo Yawk teams blow off the 2008 postseason, these will be the last games in the olde yards. I expect the fireworks will be immense.
There's no way the Yanks can catch the Sox, right? Okay, before you Yankees fans start saying that the lead went from 12 or 13 down to 6, consider this. The Yankees haven't played a team with a winning record since the All-Star break. While the Red Sox have played Cleveland, Seattle and LAA. So it's no wonder the Yankees have gained a few games. So let's look at the rest of the schedule. Both the Yankees and Red Sox have 15 series remaining this year. Out of these, the Yankees have 9 series against teams with winning records. Meanwhile the Red Sox have 6 more series against winning records. Another way to look at the schedule, Boston's remaining opponent's winning % is .480. New York's is .510. The Sox have the best pitching staff in the majors and that's what wins championships, not your offense. So tell me, is their any possible way that the Yanks catch the Sox?
Baseball Query.....Please help!!!!? My girlfriend and I are going to New York 22nd July and are interested in getting tickets to a Yankees game. I've checked the schedule and they are due to play the Oakland Athletics 23,24,25 and the 26th July. Now, I know Absolutely nothing about baseball so why are they playing the same team 4 days on the trot and which day would be best to get tickets for??? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks. And how long does a game of baseball last????
As a Mets or Yankee fan Read this and tell me your thoughts...? W Willie Randolph mentioned it Sunday night: The Mets and Yankees probably are going to make up the May 16 Subway Series rainout with a day-night, two-stadium doubleheader later this month. It'll be an event, Randolph said. It'll be fun. And we can't argue with him. But we've got something that would be even more of an event, even more fun. And it would have more meaning for New York than just the teams making a ton of money. Play the game on Sept. 11. And donate 2 million bucks to 9/11 charities. It's bad enough that both the Yankees and Mets are off on 9/11. Call that an error on MLB. Anyone who remembers how baseball added to the healing after the terrorist attacks knows how important it is to have one of our teams scheduled at home Sept. 11. Is that too much to ask? But the MLB poobahs on Park Avenue - that's in New York, by the way - forgot about that. Shame on them. Usually you don't get a do-over in baseball. MLB can. Schedule the rained-out game for
What one season from before you were a fan (or born) would you like to have lived through? This is not about which team won the Series, nor about a season you already experienced. Reach back. And it's not meant to be about one team, rather the ENTIRE season, though I recognize that fan allegiance is hard to step beyond for some. What one major league season, before your fan time, would you most like to have been there? 1961, with the new Twins, Senators, Angels, the longer AL schedule, and the Maris-Mantle chase of Ruth? 1967, with the Red Sox' Impossible Dream, the AL a four-way tangle heading into the final weekend? 1968, the year of the pitcher? Drysdale's shutout streak, Gibson's mastery, McLain winning 31? 1987, the rabbit ball year, when no one was thinking steroids were making the ball fly out? 1947, when Jackie and Larry turned the game on its ear (much for the better)? 1953, with the Dodgers and Yankees at their "Boys Of Summer" peak? 1901, when the AL debuted (WITHOUT a team in New York City)? 1906, the very best Cubs team ever, and the only all-Chicago World Series? 1941, the war looming, and Ted and Joe at their best? 1975, the Big Red Machine steamrolling? 1993, with free agents Maddux and Bonds leading their teams through one of the greatest pennant races ever, when 103 wins was not enough? Thoughts on the 2010 Florida Marlins? Soon the Florida Marlins could be the fifteenth team in baseball to be officially taken out of 2010 playoff contention (their "elimination number" is 2). Anyone really surprised that the joke Joe Buck made a fool of himself in his debut show last night after->? Artie Lange(Howard stern show sidekick) embarrassed him & humiliated him? Do you agree it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy & that hopefully his show will be canned very soon? This proves once again what a joke Joe Buck is & that his father is rolling in his grave at what a joke his son is now. Baseball question. Do you think the Nationals have any chance against the Yankees in the 3 game Series starting tonight? NEW YORK -- Artie Lange began his assault in the green room. It was 30 minutes before his segment on Joe Buck Live at the Equitable Center Theater in midtown Manhattan and Lange was searching for victims. First up was Brett Favre. During Buck's opening segment with the retired-for-the-moment quarterback, Lange offered a critique of Favre's comic timing: "Hey, it's Brett Dangerfield," Lange said. When William Bastone, editor of TheSmokingGun.com, appeared on camera for a taped segment, Lange declared, "Now I know what he looks like. Don't ever sleep, Bastone!" Lange laughed hysterically at Yankee pitcher Joba Chamberlain's DUI arrest video and joked with an HBO producer moments before going on the air, "Do you have any blow?" But The Howard Stern Show comic saved his sharpest bite for the stage as part of a panel featuring actor Paul Rudd and Saturday Night Live cast member Jason Sudeikis. The scheduled subject was sports and celebrity but quickly turned into a battle of wills between Lange and the host. When Buck joked that his favorite Web site was TMZ.com, Lange pounced. He asked Buck, "What's your second favorite?" and then created his own URL involving a sex act that we can't print here. The onslaught never stopped. "Is that it? Lange asked, near the end of the show. "Because that's what the president of HBO will be telling you soon." After the live show ended, Buck and the panel continued with a 10-minute segment for the studio audience. It was raunchy and tense. When Buck said the last segment was coming to an end, Lange cracked, "Dude, this is your last segment...ever." NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, who was a guest in earlier segment with Chad Ochocinco, summed it up best: "It's just refreshing to see white-on-white crime," Irvin said.
Are the New York Yankees playing on TV right now? I can never seem to find a schedule...but I heard they are playing...are they on?
Why don't more sports teams share the same stadiums? They do in every other sport. The Lakers and Clippers both share the Staples Center. The Giants and Jets play at Giants Stadium. They even have a mutual agreement towards their next venture that's scheduled for completion next year. I think it would be cool if both the Dodgers and Angels played their games at Dodger Stadium. The municipal government of New York City should have built a joint venture for the Yankees and Mets instead of two stadiums. With tough economic times like these, I think our tax dollars are better spent on building better roads, sewer lines, highways, bridges, dams, and levees. Personally, I wish we would go back to making multi-purpose facilities. I wish more NBA and NHL teams shared the same arenas. If NFL, MLS, and MLB franchises shared the same stadiums, that would be fine with me, too. So why can't the Yankees and Mets share the same field? Why can't the Dodgers share with the Angels? And why can't the Cubs and White Sox share one? If two teams used the same ballpark, it would make upkeep costs a lot cheaper for each of them. One team could play there while the other is playing a road game. How hard is that?
Football fans this is messed up? Okay, what I mean by messed up is that the BCS system is messed up, seriously who runs that system. Let's face it Florida did not lose a game but they were number one they got dropped to number two, Texas did not lose a game they got dropped to number three spot. Alabama did not lose a game so they should be number three spot since Texas and Florida did not lose a game but Alabama went up to number one spot. This is messed up, I mean as a Texas fan I am not complaining but that is messed up, who runs that system, tell u the truth they don't know how to run that system. Are there fans allowed to vote for the BCS ranking I mean us fans we can do better. If we can vote, can I have the link or information how to vote. Explain me ur thought. This week untill the season is over it looks like Texas and Florida will be undefeated they have an easy schedules. So what if they both go undefeated along with Iowa and Alabama then which two team plays in BCS title game? As for now we know Texas will be in the Big 12 title game, which team u think will play them at the Big 12 title game and why? I think Alabama vs Florida will play at SEC title game? Bonus question How is ur favorite NFL team doing, what's ur team name, and what is their record? Who will win today New York Giants vs Philadelphia ? Who will win tonight's game Philadelphia vs NY Yankees game? Who's gf looks cute. Texas QB Colt McCoy, or Florida QB Tim Tebow. Here is the pic. Colt McCoy gf with her hand up. http://blogs.suntimes.com/sportsprose/glandorf2.jpg http://www.thesportsmeister.com/Top_25_Most_Dominant_Athletes_files/tim_tebow_girlfriend.jpg They both look cute, but to me I think Colt McCoy gf looks cute. Ur thought? U have to answer all my question to earn ten pts. If u like football then add me on myspace. http://www.myspace.com/thisismydynasty Thank u, have a great day. Take care
