Where would you sell an amazing autographed baseball: DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe; auction or memorabilia show? This is an authentic ball signed by Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe on their honeymoon in Japan!! It is also signed by Lefty O'Doul who used to arrange for Yankee players to come to Japan, and 1951 World Series teammate Bobby Brown. It is in mint condition in a glass case. It has pictures to serve as further proof of its providence. This could sell for tens of thousands of dollars... Question is... where is the best place to sell. Trust an auction site to handle it? Take it to a memorabilia show? What does everything think?
For halloween what would be a good costume for being either Joe Dimaggio or JFK? I am going with a date to a halloween dance and she is being Marilyn Monroe. I was wondering if I should be Joe Dimaggio or JFK and for both which would be good costume ideas. I dont like the idea of just wearing a Yankees uniform but if you have any suggestions for the two costumes which would make it noticible that I was that perticular person.
If you know a lot of love and relationship and are very honest help me understand? I always found it interesting that usually the most beautiful woman marry unattractive husbands. I know this is shallow. Beyonce and Jay-z, Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio. I find it interesting that gorgeous women like Beyonce and Marilyn were not shallow when it came to choosing husbands, even though they could have any handsome man the want. I would think they would be the most shallow.
Sadie's "Famous Couples" theme ideas? Sadie Hawkins is on March 13th and the theme is famous couples. Any ideas on what would work for us? Me: Jennie, 5'11, blonde curly hair, blue eyes, used to be on the basketball team, really big eyes, loves music. I'm really curvy. Him: Ben, 6'3, medium brown hair, blue eyes, on the Varsity basketball team, really smart. He's really, really skinny. IDK what else to add... I'll add in edits. The most obvious ideas to me are Taylor Swift & Joe Jonas (because I'm wayy tall and have blonde, curly hair), but I strongly dislike the Jonas Brothers, and he hates them even worse. Another idea was Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, just because of our names. We don't really look like them though. Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio? IDK!!! Please help! Oh, we're both 17-years old. I'm a senior, he's a junior.

Recent book about Marilyn Monroe? Several years ago I was watching Larry King Live and his guests were close family members to Joe DiMaggio (niece and sister maybe? not sure, but they were both females!) I missed most of the broadcast but did hear them say that together they had written a book about what really happened to Marilyn Monroe. When asked by Larry King why they waited so long to do so, they stated that they were afraid for the safety of their families. With all parties involved now being dead, they were publishing the book. I missed some of the major details cause I didn't get to watch the entire program. Have been watching for this book to no avail. Did I dream this or is there anyone out there who saw Larry King that night or has any information on this book, whether it's been published, or will it be? If it is, name of book, please! Thanks in advance!
Can anyone tell me the song and/or artist of a song with the following in the lyrics? The song had Norman Bates and his mother, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, and I think also Michael Jackson and Bubbles. It came out in the early 90s I believe. It mentions historical pairings like Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, Norman Bates and his mother, and Michael Jackson and Bubbles. I think it was either a rock song or rap song. It was on the radio in the early 90s. I believe it was a guy that sung it.
Looking for a photo of Marilyn Monroe? It was a pic of her, inside a car, with an utterly heartbroken look (I believe she was crying) on the day her divorce from Joe DiMaggio was granted. I remember it from the book 'Marilyn: The Last Take' and I haven't been able to find it online. If anyone could find and link it, I'd very much appreciate it :) Thanks :) That first link is so close, Gabby - it has to have been taken on the same day. Good work :) Simrplyain: That's the one! Thank you! Lol! It's the same pic, Gabby, only smaller - I guess my eyes are getting old? Lol :)
Who did Marilyn Monroe date? I know that she was married to joe dimaggio and arthur miller, and some other guy called jimmy something, but were there any others? My friend is having her wedding on halloween...? Okay, so my friend (she is a little different) is having her wedding on the evening of Halloween. Her and her future husband are dressing up as Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio. Also she wants all the guests to dress up as well. My question is, I know she wants her guests to dress up in costume but I'm not going to show up in something skimpy (I'm a 22 yr old female) or too goofy. What are some suggestions of costumes (for me & my husband, they don't have to coordinate) that wouldn't completely steal her thunder or be too loud and obnoxious. Any suggestions are appreciated!!

do you think this is plausible? marilyn monroe's death was unexpected. miner, former LA county prosecuter, was on the case. marilyn monroe was fond of enema's. miner had a theory that she was put unconsious and then the murderer(s) administered a poisonous enema. this theory is supported by the fact that her large intestines was a purpleish color. MY THEORY. monroe's last phone call was with june dimaggio, joe dimaggio's niece. joe dimaggio was monroe's ex-husband. june claimed that while on the phone with monroe, monroe suddenly screamed. june also claimed that monroe had also said a name or two. but when questioned, june refused to announce those names stating, 'even if you put me on a lie detector i'll lie like crazy. my theory is that june dimaggio didn't wanna reveal the name(s) that monroe said that night becuz it was someone or some people that june and monroe cared for deeply. sorry this was so long, but do you think my theory is plausible with miner's theory? the last time i asked this question was 6 hours ago. please don't just state that you believe she was murdered. plz state whether or not you believe my theory is plausible with miner's theory. if you think it is plausible can you tell me why you agree that it is plausible?
Will you proofread/edit this? Marilyn Monroe was more than just an actress and model. She is a legend that has changed Hollywood forever. She is a very inspirational person starring in her own rags to riches story. Born as Norma Jean Mortenson on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Gladys Baker, with her father’s identity unknown, Marilyn spent most of her early life in orphanages and foster homes, since her mother was admitted into a mental institution. Until, one day in 1937 Grace McKee Goddard a family friend decided to take her in. One day in 1942 Grace McKee Goddard could not afford to keep sixteen year old Marilyn anymore, so Marilyn either had to get married or return to an orphanage. Marilyn chose to marry her 21 year old neighbor James Dougherty who she had been dating for just six months on July 19, 1942. After only two years of marriage James joined Merchant Marines and was sent to the South Pacific, while Marilyn took a job on the assembly line at the Radio Plane Munitions Factory. It was then, while Marilyn was working, she was discovered. Photographer David Conover from Yank Magazine saw her while taking pictures of women contributing to the war effort. He used her for the shoot, and then began sending modeling jobs her way. Within two years Marilyn was a reputable model, had begun drama classes, and career had started to take place. So after being married to Jimmy for just under four years, she divorced him. It was then Marilyn signed her first studio contract with Twentieth Century Fox. At that time, Marilyn dyed her hair blonde and legally changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. The Shocking Miss Pilgrim in 1947 was Marilyn’s first movie role and from then on Marilyn just had minor parts in movies. It was 1953’s movie Niagara when Marilyn hit her big break, and Photoplay Magazine voted Marilyn Best New Actress Of 1953. On January 14, 1954 at San Francisco City Hall, Marilyn married for a second time to baseball player Joe DiMaggio, this time dating for just under two years. But sadly on October 27, 1954 after being married only nine months they divorced, but still remained good friends. In 1955 the pressures of Hollywood started building up on Marilyn, so she took a break and went to New York where she studied at Lee Strasberg’s acting school. by 1956 Marilyn was ready to go back to Hollywood, and she opened her own motion picture company called Marilyn Monroe Productions. She starred in two of the movies the company produced. Marilyn got married for a third time on June 29, 1956 this time to playwright Arthur Miller. He wrote a role in The Misfits just for her, and this was Marilyn’s last completed movie. Unfortunately the marriage between them didn’t last, and they got divorced on January 20, 1961. On May 19, 1962 Marilyn sang happy birthday to the president, who at the time was John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden. After her performance, there were lots of claims that Marilyn had an affair with John F. Kennedy, but it is not confirmed. Sadly, on August 5, 1962 at the age of 36, Marilyn was found dead in her Brentwood, California home. The official cause of her death is acute barbiturate poisoning caused by an overdose of sleeping pills, but many wonder if it was an accident, suicide, or a murder. A close friend of Marilyn’s, June DiMaggio claims that Marilyn was supposed to remarry Joe DiMaggio just three days after her death and Marilyn would never take her own life. Many others think that an order was sent from John F. Kennedy, to prevent a scandal to occur. What raises questions about her death is that a complete autopsy was not done. Marilyn was laid to rest at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery. Marilyn Monroe lived a life filled with glamour and excitement, but friends say she was a normal person. In Marilyn’s short life she managed to complete thirty movies, and leave one movie unfinished. Marilyn Monroe completed more in 36 years, than many do in a life time. Although no one knows for sure how Marilyn died, there is one thing for sure: Marilyn will always be a Hollywood icon.
John F. Kennedy Assassination Thoughts? Do you think there is more to the assassination of John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy than people know? I believe John and Robert played some part in the death of Marilyn Monroe and she was married to Joe Dimaggio who said he still loved her after their divorce. I've seen shows stating the John Kennedy was probably killed by the Italian mafia, Joe Dimaggio was Italian. I'm sure he was heart broken by the death of Marilyn Monroe, is it possible both John and Robert were killed because of their possible involvement in Marilyn's death. I'd think Joe Dimaggio would have the power to have this done or his friends would have done it for him, I'd also think if the goverment knew it they wouldn't have messed with him knowing they asked for it. Do you think this is possible? DiMaggio, who organised Monroe's funeral and, for the next 20 years, had white roses delivered to her grave twice a week, refused to talk publicly about what he thought happened. He was only married to Marilyn Monroe for nine turbulent months, but Joe DiMaggio, the reclusive US baseball legend, vowed he would never forgive the Kennedys for her death. They spent their honeymoon in Japan, where 100,000 US troops turned out to meet them. Afterwards, Monroe commented: "I have never heard so much cheering." DiMaggio replied knowingly: "I have."
Who is your favorite baseball team? why? New York Yankees I read books about Marilyn Monroe (my idol) who was married to Joe DiMaggio who played for the New York Yankees And I remeber watching an old movie about Babe Ruth After that I fell in love with the game! But sometimes I feel as though things arn't the same anymore in baseball.
Has this every happened to you with a friend/gf or bf? weird sign like your meant to be? Okay sounds weird. Just met a guy who sweet, nice, and really cute. Well you see he has a gf so were just friends I know and i'm okay with that. But I keep getting these signs. Do you believe in signs. Like I love marilyn monroe and look like her and he resembles Joe Dimaggio (he's cuter thought) and I typed his name into you tube and the second vid to pop up was a girl who had my first name and his last name! Then he works at wendys and wendys commercials are popping up everywhere. And sometimes I'm about to text him then he'll text me. And songs that I love come on when I think about him. And I live in the same apartments he lived in a few years ago. Does these things happen to you, and do you believe in signs or are they stupid.

Which player is better? Which of these players is the best, Jeff Bagwell or Joe DiMaggio. I think that they are about even. Jeff Bagwell had almost 500 career home runs and had an on base % of 408. He also is probably the best player in the Houston Astros history. Joe DiMaggio led the record for 56 consecutive hits in a season. He is also already a hall of famer and one of the best players of all time. Plus he was married to Marilyn Monroe, I give him points for that. Lol. Which players do you think is better?
Were the Studios in the Old Days Matrimonial Agencies? The studios suppressed Marilyn Monroe`s marriage to Robert Slatzer and had it annulled. This was the one man with whom she might have found happiness. They engineered a marriage to Joe DiMaggio and no doubt took quite a lot of dosh from him in the bargain because, after all, as a wife the studio would be losing the services of an important star. Fact is though Marilyn Monroe did not want to become the `perfect wife` and thus DiMaggio left cheated. The studios quoshed Elizabeth Taylor`s relationship with Monty Clift which probably pre-dated `A Place in the Sun` and engineered a disastrous marriage with scion Nicky Hilton. No doubt Hilton paid up....probably paid more than the other contenders; and thus when he discovered that Taylor was in love elsewhere he became physically abusive. Taylor`s next marriage to Michael Wilding was more robust and on the night that Clift was injured in that fatal car crash he was a quatre with Taylor, Wilding, and Rock Hudson. Ann Miller was sold off to sold old git- a very religious old git. And it goes on and on. So when DiMaggio baulked, did he have the right? But didn`t Marilyn have rights too?

Who do you think is better and why? http://lebrownstown.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/marilyn-monroe.jpg http://www.classicactresses.com/168602~Jayne-Mansfield-Posters.jpg I think Marilyn is alot better because She has such a hard life and nobody in "Hollywood" never really cared about you, they were just using her. I think the only person that REALLY cared was Joe DiMaggio. He was really good to her and everything. And I also think that Marilyn was soooo Beautiful. :) She inspires me. Who do you like better and why?
